Regence & St. Joe's reach agreement retroactive to Jan. 15

Updated Feb. 5, 2020

The certified Health Agents at American Insurance are pleased to announce the news from Regence BlueShield of Idaho that they have reached a new multi-year agreement that ensures their members can continue to receive affordable, local care from St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. The agreement covers Regence employer-sponsored small and large group medical plans and Regence Medicare Advantage plans.

"Our new contract has a retroactive start date of Jan. 15, 2020," the Regence online article reads. "This means that Regence members who received care from St. Joseph between that date and now will have their claims processed with in-network benefits."  There was no interruption in covered claims for services at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and their affiliated doctors.

If you have questions about your care or coverage, please call your health agent at American Insurance at (208) 746-9646, or email Medical [at] am-ins [dot] com.

"We thank you for your patience and support during negotiations. Serving the Lewiston community is our privilege, and we are happy to have an agreement that allows us to continue doing so in collaboration with St. Joseph moving forward," the Regence release says.

Please contact your Agent at American Insurance (Medical [at] am-ins [dot] com or (208) 746-9646) if you have any additional questions about your coverage.
